As acupuncture gains acceptance, more insurance companies have started including acupuncture benefits for their customers. Although some policies typically cover acupuncture only if the treatment is for anesthesia or pain control, others may pay for most conditions treated. You can call your insurance customer service center and inquire as to whether acupuncture is covered. Let the agent know why you are seeking treatment [for example, back pain, or headaches]. If your employer is listed above and utilizes UHC for their insurance plan, we will submit your treatment information and claims, provided acupuncture is also a covered benefit within your plan. Please note: your insurance policy is an agreement between you and the carrier. We can not make your insurance company pay for your treatments. You are responsible for any unpaid charges, deductibles, copays and other applicable coinsurance.

If you send an email to us, 5 business days before your first appointment, with the following information :

  1. A copy of BOTH sides of your United HealthCare insurance card.
  2. Your insurance Member/Subscriber ID Number.
  3. The health condition for which you are seeking treatment.
  4. Your FULL name and phone number.
  5. Your complete date of birth.
  6. The policy holder's member/subscriber ID # if other than yourself.
